New Xbox without optical media

British MCV portal announced today to be entered into possession of exclusive information about the next generation of Xbox console. According to the network, Microsoft would have already given instructions to its partners about the lack of optical media in Xbox 360’s heir. Should be specified, however, that the new Xbox wouldn’t be a car purely dedicated to digital delivery, but will introduce a new format, similar to the tabs used by PlayStation and Nintendo 3DS.

However, no shortage of details about the supposed release dates. MCV is to be realized that the Xbox Next will come by the end of 2013. News, that coincides with the rumors that have chased in recent weeks. The use of a proprietary format could potentially provide an opportunity for Microsoft to hit hard on the second hand market (As it seems that every game will be tied to the console that will run for the first time) and piracy. All clear in hindsight, but the direction taken by Redmond machine games with the future seems clear enough.

Less clear is the Microsoft voice comment launched by MCV. A press release informs, as usual, that the company prefers not to issue comments on the matter, adding however that technicians are always working hard to figure out what to offer to its users in future and in general the electronic entertainment industry that may seem actually “cool” and unpublished.
