Google Play now offers recommendations

Google continues to improve its market applications for users of smartphones and tablets with OS Android. If we mentioned recently, the new features of version 3.8.15, now we have to do one introduced in version 3.8.17. An improvement focused on making things easier for users looking for new applications or books to install on their devices. Something that can be really useful and we discuss below.

This is a section of recommendations. Something that already we have seen in the version web of Google Play for some time. However, now comes to portable devices, by adjusting the subject and content type to various aspects of the user. Something that customizes these recommendations largely find ourselves no two devices with the same selection of applications and games, as each user has their own characteristics, tastes and relationships.

Play Google

This feature is found in two of the three sections of content we can access in our country now through Google Play: Apps, Books & Movies. By clicking on any of them see a new screen where you find the featured content, and a little further down the new section personalized recommendations. Here are applications and books, depending on the section, according to various criteria relevant.

Clicking on the title personalized recommendations access a list of these contents. Everyone, whatever presents the relationship for which he has placed at the head of the recommendations. If we have not interacted with the Books section, for example, you may just find the text main book. However, more experienced users may see that that content is recommended to be popular among users of an application already installed, the number of downloads in the area or because our contacts and friends in Google+ +1.

However, there is a further criterion. One more personal, if is it possible. This is some kind of algorithm created by Google to determine the user’s tastes and uses. Thus the list of personalized recommendations can be considered intelligent, more akin to showing the user’s tastes. Matter that can enhance clicking the ban button on the list, making it known that an application type or book is not to our liking.

In short, a function that can be helpful for users less learned, finding all types of content with similar characteristics to those who already have and that match your tastes. This function does not require any installation or configuration by the user, as it comes standard on the version 3.8.17 of Google Play. This version is automatically updated on all devices Android, so the user only has to run Google Play to access this feature.
